Terms of Service
The agreement between you and RoofingEstimates.ai.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RoofingEstimates.ai website and related services (the "Service"), provided by RoofingEstimates.ai ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
RoofingEstimates.ai provides homeowners with AI-generated roof measurements and price estimates based on satellite imagery, and connects them with licensed local roofing contractors. Estimates are informational and are not a quote from any contractor. Actual prices are set by contractors after an in-person inspection.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a property owner (or authorized to act for one) to request an estimate.
3. Estimate Accuracy & No Guarantee
Our AI measures the visible roof footprint from satellite imagery and estimates square footage based on a pitch multiplier you provide. Estimates do not account for skylights, chimney re-flashing, complex roof geometry, decking replacement, ventilation upgrades, code requirements, or local pricing variation. The final installed price will be determined by your chosen contractor after they physically inspect your roof.
We make no warranty about the accuracy or completeness of any estimate. You agree not to rely on estimates as the basis for a binding contract.
4. Contractor Connections
When you submit an estimate request, we may share your information with up to three (3) licensed roofing contractors that serve your area. Those contractors operate independently — we are not a contractor, do not perform roofing work, and are not responsible for the contractors' acts or omissions, work quality, pricing, warranties, or business practices.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Submit information about a property you do not own or are not authorized to represent.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm anyone.
6. SMS / Text Messaging
By opting in to receive text messages from us — whether by entering your phone number to request a one-time SMS verification code, or by checking the SMS lead notifications consent box on the contractor signup form — you agree to the SMS terms described in our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, including message frequency, opt-out instructions (Reply STOP), help instructions (Reply HELP), and our commitment that mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of receiving any goods or services from us.
7. Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, software, content, and brand, is owned by RoofingEstimates.ai and protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ESTIMATES WILL MATCH ACTUAL CONTRACTOR PRICING.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOFINGESTIMATES.AI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Nebraska, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
